"I took the Medical Administration course at HBi College in September 2012 and graduated in January 2013. I really enjoyed taking this course. Everything that I learned really made me prepared to start working. The classes were long and hard but definitely worth it. It gave me the experience and knowledge to land myself in the medical field. Three weeks after graduating and going to many interviews, I landed the job I wanted. "I was a university graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting Specialist and Economics Major) six months before I decided to enrol in the Computerized Accounting Certificate Program at HBi College. In those six months, I realized that college graduates were better prepared to enter the job market and more likely to be hired because of the practical training and experience they received with some of the more popular accounting software packages. As such, I decided to take a college program in order to fill that gap.

Of the various colleges that I researched, HBi College was the only one that offered a program covering just the accounting software applications. As well, whereas most colleges only covered two software packages, HBi offered three (i.e., QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, and ACCPAC). In addition, the Job Search module was really beneficial in providing students with the tools and advice necessary to find a job - everything from creating a résumé to the interview and follow-up process. Overall, due to my time at HBi, I feel much better prepared and certainly more confident about entering and pursuing a career in accounting!"

"After my company moved to Mexico, I needed to figure out what I was going to do with my life. I tried a few small business ideas and even learned how to operate several different types of heavy equipment. I have a strong background in material handling and have always enjoyed the organizational structure of inventory control. I did a lot of research when I decided to go back to school and found the Supply Chain and Inventory Management diploma program at HBi College. It was a perfect match. I started my journey with HBi finding myself extremely fascinated by the accounting classes and the teaching style made the material exciting to learn. The computer components were key tools to the course and my instructor motivated me to complete two extra programs, MS Project and Access.

From the moment I walked through the door everyone made me feel welcome and the staff were all great source for advice, support and encouragement. The next parts of the program were the lectures which covered the Introduction to Materials Management and ACCPAC ERP Inventory Control & Order Entry. The tours of IKEA, the SCM distribution centre and the Toyota plant were definite highlights. This really opened my eyes to the Supply Chain field as a whole and how each part of the chain affects one another. From raw material, through any process, to a finished product and even back to recycling (reverse logistics), every company has inventory that needs to be managed effectively if they expect favourable returns. The program gives you the tools to become successful. It’s up to you to apply them and take charge of your future. My advice would be, when you’re told you can’t do something, prove them wrong and never give up! Obtaining this honours diploma has taken me to the next level and I have recently started a new career as a Jr. Buyer Planner with an Aerospace company. "I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to HBI College for wonderful educational and personal experience! After being out of school for quite few years and not having any background in Accounting I was not sure what would the outcome be at the end of my Computerized Accounting Program.

I was pleasantly surprised from the day one of my classes. All of the staff and teachers were always ready and happy to help and offer assistance with a big smile and enthusiasm. "Being in my mid-sixties, where most people think about retirement, I have chosen to go back to school after losing my job as a purchaser last year. Choosing HBI College to pursue a diploma in Supply Chain & Inventory Management was the best decision that I have made so far. The program was intense and challenging for me, but extremely rewarding. "I arrived in Canada in March 2011. As a newcomer, I was exploring the job market for openings in my field of experience, which was the Hospitality industry. I soon realized that it was not going to be easy as the employers were looking for Canadian experience. I was not too keen on working survival jobs and wanted to do something that will set me up for a long time. I was drawn towards the concept of Supply Chain Management and began researching the subject. I approached HBI College which was offering a Diploma program in Supply Chain for details. The course was just right for me as it had the right content that would help me get a solid foundation in Supply Chain. The duration of the course also ensured that I am ready for a job within 6 months and possess the same level of knowledge, if not higher, than a student graduating from a regular college. We had an excellent teacher in Ninian, who combined the concepts in the textbook with his own rich experience in the field. This made the subject all the more interesting and brought out the best in us. The other members of the HBI team, too, deserve special mention as they were always there for any kind of help and support. I am grateful to Ninian for all that he has taught me and I look forward to a very good future in Supply Chain. "I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the time that I spent at HBi College. I took the Supply Chain and Inventory Control Management Program. Kulvinder Dhesi was my instructor for computers. Without her guidance and extreme patience, I don’t think I would have done as well as I did, considering I knew very little about computers and their programs. Kulvinder was always encouraging our class to do our very best. Eirini Ioannidou taught me book-keeping and in the past I could not grasp the concept. With her teaching I was able to find a new way at looking at book-keeping and it all made sense. My instructor for the Supply Chain & Inventory Control Management Diploma Program was Ninian Prabhu. Ninian really understood me and where I was coming from. He got me to really think about my future once this was all done. "HBi was a great experience for me. I was on EI and needed to enhance my skills in Supply Chain Management and Inventory Control. I did have experience in this field but lacked Canadian certification. I decided on HBi's Supply Chain and Inventory Management program and I was glad I chose this program. "My experience at Hbi College in Mississauga was a great one! I was laid off in December of 2008 and started at Hbi College August 2009 taking the Supply Chain and Inventory Management course. My instructor was more then helpful at answering all my questions about the industry, had great knowledge and examples to express all aspects of the textbook, and helped me to gain my confidence back at re-entering the workforce. "Our Vice President -Sales, New Technical Director, and Free Lance Consultant came to visit to observe and meet our team personally. I gave them a tour around the facility and explained how I run/operate the Canadian branch. They were impressed on how I managed the branch as a whole. They said that I am very organized. They asked me about my working background, and I told them that I was a former Territory Sales Manager in AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in the Philippines, and when I migrated to Canada, I worked at Baxter Corporation as a Global Colleague Project Recall as a Project Coordinator. Then I went back to school (HBI College) and took up Supply Chain and Inventory Management. I was re-hired by Baxter after finishing my Program, but worked in the production so I could apply what I learned at school. The consultant was very impressed. She informed me that originally, her goal was to come and teach me and to improve whatever she felt needed to be done, as well as apply the Lean Management Techniques.
