Foundations Program
The Police Foundations Program is a 48-week,
comprehensive course that prepares graduates for a variety
of police and related justice career opportunities.

note taking, listening skills and oral communication

Policing practices including Highway Traffic Act,
Policing, Security, Border Services and Corrections

The Canadian Justice System, including the Canadian
Criminal Code, provincial statutes and Young Offenders
and Juvenile Justice |

Social Sciences, including an introduction to psychology,
sociology, criminology and ethics |
|
Firearms History, Opportunity for Canadian Firearms Certification including Canadian Firearms Safety Course and Canadian Restricted Firearms Course |

Lifestyle management, including physical fitness,
emergency response, defibrillation and CPR, Standard First Aid + Basic Rescuer Level C with AED recognized prerequisite for police, fire and ambulance programs, stress management
and crisis management |
